Stewart H. Steffey, Jr., Chairman & CEO, Director.
Nick, age 60, the founding shareholder of Blackstone Financial Group, has 35 years of insurance experience, including the successful building of Liberty International Holdings Inc. (a subsidiary of the Liberty Mutual Group) where he served as Founder, President and CEO from 1993 to 1998. He led a successful rehabilitation of Reinsurance Australia, Ltd. where he served as CEO in 1999 and 2000. He was with CIGNA Corporation for 15 years in various executive capacities, including Senior Vice President, Northeast Property Casualty Operations. He currently serves on the boards of the Pawtucket Foundation, Memorial Hospital and the Pawtucket YMCA. He received his BBA in Business Administration from Pace University and Master of Science in Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
H. Craig Treiber, Director.
Craig, age 53, a founding shareholder, has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and is currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Treiber Insurance Group, a privately held company founded by his grandfather in 1899 in Brooklyn, New York. He has held various positions at Treiber covering claims, underwriting, sales, client servicing and administration as well as representing the firm on a number of insurance company industry panels. Craig has led his company growth to become the 59th largest broker in the United States with nearly 165 employed professionals in retail and wholesale brokerage operations. Craig is active in local community and charitable organizations as well as local business development councils. He received a BS in Economics from the University of South Carolina.
Patrick S. Wilmerding, Vice President – Strategic Planning, Director.
Patrick, age 36, a founding shareholder, is a managing director of Private Signals, LLC, a Boston-based investment firm as well as a director of the Russia Now, a venture fund. He is a graduate of Northeastern University and has an MBA from Boston University Graduate School of Business.
Geoffrey E. Hunt, Executive Vice President- CFO & Treasurer, Director.
Geoff, age 48, has over 20 years of financial and insurance experience, including managing Liberty Mutual Group subsidiaries controlling $2.5 billion of premium selling personal and small commercial P&C products through independent agents. In addition to other executive financial and operational positions within the Liberty Mutual Group, Geoff managed the M&A group. During his tenure he led over two-dozen transactions ranging in size from several million to over $1.5 billion. Geoff had been a Senior Manager with the Connecticut practice of Deloitte & Touche as well as an Adjunct Professor at the graduate business programs of Northeastern University and the University of Hartford. In addition to holding a CPA designation, Geoff has received his BBA degree from Siena College, a JD from Western New England College School of Law, and a LLM from Boston University School of Law and completed the Executive Financial Management Program at the University of Michigan, Graduate School of Business Management.

Albert J. Pereira, President and Chief Underwriting Officer, has over 25 years of successful insurance company management experience and was formerly President of Summit Insurance Company, a leading underwriter for agents in Rhode Island.
Raymond L. Deschene, Vice President, Operations, has over 20 years of service with PMIC/NBIC. His responsibility with the Company will be to develop the agency marketing force in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He has been acting as the group’s general manager while under the rehabilitation order.
Paul W. Liberty, Vice President, Claims, has over 27 years in the industry, the last 20 with PMIC/NBIC. He is responsible for the settlement of open claims from the former insurance operations as well as developing the service capacity for the new business. He holds numerous professional designations including CPCU, AIC and FCLA.
Linda T. Provost, Vice President, Underwriting, has 19 years of service with PMIC/NBIC. She has been responsible for both the personal and commercial lines underwriting functions.
